"Dotsume Tenjiku" is an extremely thick material of approximately 11.5 ounces that is knitted on a loop knitting machine using American cotton. Because it is knitted at the maximum density, each knitting machine can only produce about 30 pieces of fabric per day. It is a material that cannot be produced in large quantities.
